Real Estate and Environmental Matters

Our Real Estate Department serves the firm's public and private sector clients in a broad range of real estate matters including acquisition, land use planning, zoning, environmental and other permitting, financing, construction, development, leasing and sales.

Working with our Business and Banking Department, we represent commercial lenders and borrowers in conventional mortgage and bond financing. We represent developers of residential, commercial and industrial subdivisions, office parks and buildings, including residential and commercial condominiums. We also represent both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing.

Our real estate attorneys are experienced in all aspects of real estate development, such as zoning, environmental, subdivision and related permitting. With the assistance of our Litigation Department, we litigate and defend such approvals before local and state administrative agencies and courts.

In addition to our commercial real estate practice, we also have a substantial residential practice, representing buyers and sellers of primary and second homes throughout Berkshire County and beyond.
