Cain Hibbard & Myers continues its support of educational events

Cain Hibbard & Myers sponsored a field trip to Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center for hundreds of school-aged children. They were given an exclusive performance by world-renowned dance troupe, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's Ailey II. This field trip on March 22 was part of the firm’s ongoing effort to support education, and to offer opportunities for area youth to experience cultural events in the Berkshires. Educational opportunity is the focus of charitable giving at Cain, Hibbard & Myers. Many children would not otherwise be able to experience and enjoy world-class performances, such as Ailey II.

In 1974, legendary dancer and choreographer Alvin Ailey created the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble from the most promising scholarship students in his namesake school. Today, as Ailey II, the troupe has become one of the most popular dance companies in the country. Combining the ideals of African-American cultural expression and the American modern dance tradition, Ailey II is known for merging the spirit and energy of the country's best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today's most outstanding emerging choreographers.
