Our Mission Statement

Our core mission is to serve our clients with the highest level of quality, integrity and professionalism.  We succeed when we accomplish those objectives for every client each and every day.

To achieve our mission, we have established five goals for ourselves.  They reflect our values and contribute to the positive work culture for which we strive.

  1. We want everyone to be focused on – and work hard to achieve – our clients’ goals as promptly and efficiently as possible. That’s what our clients expect and they deserve that level of commitment from us.  We set high expectations for every member of our team and our goal is to provide the resources that you need to meet those expectations. 
     

  2. It is essential that we protect and further the trust our clients have placed in us.  Strict observance of our confidentiality obligations is paramount at all times.  Even within the firm, discretion is important.  Client information should be shared only on a need-to-know basis. 
     

  3.  We want every employee of Cain Hibbard to find joy in their work. Our work helps our clients achieve their important and often life-changing objectives.  Keeping that in mind helps to infuse your work with purpose and meaning. We want you to find satisfaction, pride and joy in the work you do every day. We also want you to find work/life balance. We each have different (and sometimes conflicting) commitments and interests that may change over time.  We recognize and support the need to cultivate activities outside of work so that you feel satisfied and fulfilled.   We also recognize and support the need to be flexible when necessary to support the challenges life may throw your way.
     

  4. We want you to treat others – including our clients, our adversaries and your co-workers – with respect and dignity, and we want you to be treated that same way.  Our work can be stressful and difficult.  We appreciate that it can at times take significant effort to be sensitive to the feelings of others when you are under stress or tight deadlines.  We want everyone to do their best to make that extra effort. Within the firm, we encourage open communication and discussion so that conflicts can be resolved promptly and productively.
     

  5. We would like all firm employees to find a way, comfortable to them, to give back to the community. The firm has a long and deep history of philanthropy, and it is an important part of our culture.  We have adopted a specific philanthropic firm mission of education, but the choice of what you support individually is, of course, your own.

 

We are fortunate to be the current stewards of the long history and strong reputation that is Cain Hibbard.  Our firm’s roots date back to the 1800s and the firm’s prominence in the community was built on the hard work of many who preceded us.  We hope that you will share our pride in our firm’s history, and in what we have and will continue to accomplish for our clients and for our community.
